Netbeans is only confugurable with jboss AS 4.0.4 and is now compatible with higher versions (netbeans 5.5)

Jboss 4.2 is not compatible with Java 1.6 , you should use java 1.5 (java 5) and it doesn’t give an error, it simply doesn’t work.
